Daily activities teach and develop proficiency:
- Language Arts – Children learn to recognize their name and letters of the alphabet; writing is taught through the Handwriting Without Tears program; songs, poems and books reinforce pre-reading skills.
- Math – Math becomes obvious to children in a natural, on-going manner through games, number recognition, sequencing, patterning, daily calendar work and spatial awareness.
- Science – A hands-on approach to science in both 3K and 4K
- Phonics – Integrated into language arts (4K).
- Religion – Stories daily prayer and art projects; frequent visits from the St. Francis Borgia pastor; opportunities for community outreach; Star of the Week; “I Am Special” religious education series (4K)
- Learning Centers – Provide children with opportunities to make choices and experience multi-level learning.
- iPads & Newline Boards – Integrated into daily classroom use
- Field trips, special programs and other activities – Planned throughout the year to connect and enhance curriculum
