Principal’s Message
From the moment I stepped through the doors of St. Francis Borgia, I felt the warmth, joy, and deep sense of faith that make this place so special. It is truly a blessing to join a school rooted in Catholic values and committed to nurturing the whole child, mind, heart, and spirit.
St. Francis Borgia is blessed with an outstanding team of educators and staff members who pour their hearts into their work each day. Their commitment to faith formation, academic excellence, and personal growth is truly inspiring. Because of their dedication, our students are offered a rich and well-rounded educational experience, one that includes rigorous academics, competitive athletics, vibrant arts programming, and countless opportunities to explore their God-given gifts.
Catholic education is powerful. Not only does it shape what our children know, but who they become. At St. Francis Borgia, we have the unique opportunity to grow in faith together, support one another with compassion, and strive for excellence in all that we do.

Yesterday, we were honored to welcome SFB alum, RJ Foy, back to campus to speak to our students, teachers, parents, and special visitors before Mass. RJ shared how his years at St. Francis Borgia helped shape him into the student, athlete, leader, and faithful young man he is today.
Now a senior at Dominican High School and future student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Business, RJ reflected on the lasting impact of his SFB experience and the teachers and coaches who guided him along the way.
A few powerful moments from his speech:
✨ “Because of the foundations my SFB teachers have put in, I was able to grow not only in the classroom, but also in my faith and athletic development.”
✨ “The leadership qualities seen through me by my coaches and teammates all started here at Saint Francis Borgia.”
✨ “As I continue my education, the lessons and teachings that SFB teachers taught me will continue to put me above my peers.”
Thank you, RJ, for returning to inspire the next generation of SFB students and for reminding us all of the lifelong impact of a Catholic education. 💙 … See MoreSee Less

After Mass today we had our Leadership Ceremony at St. Francis Borgia, a beautiful tradition marking the passing of leadership from our 8th graders to our 7th graders.
Beginning with their candles already lit, the 8th graders symbolized the faith, virtue, and example they have carried during their years at SFB. One by one, they shared that light with the 7th graders, entrusting them with the responsibility of becoming the next leaders of our school community.
We are so proud of our 8th graders for the example they have set and look forward to watching our 7th graders lead with faith, humility, and service in the year ahead. “You are the light of the world.” – Matthew 5:14 … See MoreSee Less

Please join us in welcoming Jamie Shaver to the SFB community! Jamie has been finishing out our school year as a long-term substitute in one of our first grade classrooms, and we are thrilled to share that she will be joining us full-time next year as a first grade teacher. Jamie recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is excited to begin her teaching journey at SFB. We are so happy to have her as part of our school family!
Also today, our 5K students took a special trip to Lasata Senior Living to share the light of Jesus with the residents. Students enjoyed playing Bingo, drawing and coloring dinosaurs, and singing songs together. Afterward, they headed to Cedar Creek Park for lunch and some time to play and enjoy the beautiful day. What a wonderful day of service, joy, and community connection! … See MoreSee Less

The SFB tennis season is officially underway! 🎾
We are excited to have 19 students in grades 5–7 representing our school this season. The team has already competed in two matches and has four more to go.
A special thank-you to Caitlin Smyth for coaching these athletes, encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship, and helping our students develop a love for the game. We are proud of all of our players and look forward to cheering them on throughout the rest of the season! … See MoreSee Less

Today, our school community gathered to celebrate the beautiful tradition of May Crowning as we honored Mary. Our 8th grade girls reverently processed the crown to the altar and crowned Mary during this special celebration.
We were also thrilled to recognize our second graders, who proudly wore their First Communion attire, making the day even more meaningful and joyful.
In addition, we have a student Principal helping Mrs. Narlock today! She is spending the day accompanying Mrs. Narlock on classroom visits, supervising Mass, and even enjoying a very important lunch meeting in the conference room where some decisions were made over McDonalds. This opportunity was bid on and won at one of our fundraising events this year. … See MoreSee Less

Our 5K students had an exciting spring adventure at Riveredge Nature Center during their Vernal Pond Exploration class! Students learned about vernal ponds—special ponds that only exist in the spring before drying up later in the year—and discovered the fascinating life cycles of the creatures that call these temporary habitats home.
Using scoops and sampling tools, students explored the pond water and closely examined what they found, working together to identify tiny living creatures and signs of life in the ecosystem.
Back in the classroom, students reflected on their experience through writing, sharing what they discovered and what made the adventure so memorable. What a wonderful hands-on learning experience for our young scientists! … See MoreSee Less
