Athletic Overview

SFB has a strong athletic program for all students in 5th through 8th grades. The mission of the program is to provide opportunities for students to enrich their physical, social and emotional skills by associating them with dedicated adults who not only foster the development of athletic skills and promote teamwork, but also serve as role models of Christian living.

SFB Knights have boys and girls teams for volleyball, basketball and track. Inclusion is emphasized in the Athletic Program. At the 5th grade level playing time is as equal as possible. In 6th – 8th grades, each sport has specific guidelines. Playing time is determined based on work ethic, attitude, attendance, number of athletes on team, and game/match conditions. All student athletes must be able to attend a minimum of 70% of practices and games in order to participate. Details of the school’s athletics are in the Athletic Handbook.

The SFB Athletic Program is governed by a parent Athletic Board which complies to the Athletic Association Bylaws.
